The client is seeking a Regional Director Americas responsible for maintaining and developing the distribution of a high-end beauty brand across Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Americas Travel Retail market. This role focuses on protecting selective distribution, expanding business opportunities, and ensuring strong regional execution across commercial, marketing, and sales activities.
Key responsibilities include evaluating new client prospectuses, negotiating commercial terms, defining and implementing pricing strategies, and monitoring Sell In and Sell Out performance. The role will prepare budgets and P&L per account in collaboration with the finance team at HQ, approve and follow up on marketing plans and PR initiatives in the zone, and ensure successful listings of novelties with optimized assortments. It also includes negotiating locations and retail spaces for new or renovated points of sale, approving merchandising designs and investments, and submitting annual budgets and accomplishments to General Management.
The ideal candidate is an Area Director or Senior Area Manager with experience in the Americas region and the beauty category. Requirements include a minimum bachelor’s degree (MBA may be a plus), around ten years of international distribution experience with about five years in beauty, and trilingual proficiency in English, Spanish, and French. The role is expected to be highly international and may require substantial travel (about 40%) along with the ability to work extended hours, with strong organization and prioritization skills, excellent communication and presentation, comfort in multicultural environments, and strong proficiency with MS Office—particularly Excel. Prior brand/category experience and titles may be considered advantageous.
