the client is seeking an experienced, strategic, purpose-driven Regional Director to lead its programme strategy and grant-making across South East Asia, initially focused on Indonesia, and to provide global thematic leadership in the area of Just Energy Transition. The role will help strengthen regional alignment with the client’s global strategy, identify opportunities to maximise impact, and advance people-centred solutions aimed at reducing and avoiding greenhouse gas emissions through systems-change approaches and locally led partnerships.
Reporting to the Chief Programmes Officer, the Regional Director will lead the South East Asia Programmes team and work closely with colleagues across the client. Key responsibilities include programme development, grant-making strategy, partnership management, organisational learning, and regional team leadership. The role also involves strengthening relationships with communities and relevant stakeholders to ensure the work remains equitable, responsive to local contexts, and focused on long-term, people-centred impact.
This senior leadership position requires senior experience in philanthropy, international development, systems thinking, or related fields, along with deep expertise in Indonesia and extensive regional experience across South East Asia.
