The client is seeking a Refractory Sales Engineer to join its commercial team in Germany, supporting 360° search solutions for global commodities markets. In this role, you will focus on maintaining and growing an existing customer portfolio in the steel industry while identifying and onboarding new clients, helping drive technical and commercial outcomes in a volatile market environment.
You will provide expert guidance to customers on refractory product selection and tailored solutions, and oversee technical and commercial customer visits, including supervising installations and managing trial follow-ups. Additional responsibilities include developing quotations, leading negotiations, and managing the order process efficiently, alongside monitoring market trends and devising sales strategies.
To qualify, you will typically have a master’s degree in engineering (such as metallurgy, material science, or industrial chemistry) or an equivalent background. The role requires strong knowledge of steel production processes and refractory applications, as well as a proven track record in technical sales and customer relationship management within heavy industry, with fluency in German and business-level English and capability to work with MS Office and relevant systems.
