the client, a successful global supplier to the automotive industry, is seeking an R&D Coordinator OEM (m/w/d) to support the identification, assessment, and implementation of new technical requirements and needs for future platforms and vehicles. In this role, you will collaborate closely with OEM customers while operating independently from day-to-day operations, helping shape how development topics are approached and advanced.
You will derive concrete action areas to make related processes more targeted and efficient, coordinate strategic and operational decision-making processes, and ensure progress on development initiatives in close cooperation with customers. In addition to technical aspects, you will support economic feasibility and act as a key interface to align internal competencies and resources, as well as relevant external expertise such as academic or research institutions, when needed.
The position is suited to candidates with a successfully completed technical degree with a focus on design or construction engineering. You will typically bring substantial experience in development and design, preferably related to areas such as hydraulics, vehicle electrics, sensor technology, or materials science, and a working knowledge of fundamental business relationships (e.g., for calculations). The role also expects strong project management methods, team-oriented leadership and execution strength, familiarity with automotive industry processes from prior experience in a global automotive environment (OEM or 1st-tier), and solid international communication skills in English, along with practical competence in common IT tools such as CAD.
