The client is seeking a Purchasing Director to help expand its portfolio of video games and related consumer electronics across Latin America. The role focuses on bringing new brands into the business, supporting a broader product mix, and ensuring purchasing activities align with the client’s distribution needs.
The Purchasing Director will lead and manage a purchasing department comprised of 2–3 Purchasing Managers. Key responsibilities include overseeing purchasing strategy, managing inventory flows and related processes, and coordinating efforts to ensure timely and effective procurement of game and digital consumer products.
The ideal candidate is a senior purchasing professional or director with experience in consumer electronics, typically gained from a brand, distributor, or retailer. Bilingual English and Spanish communication is expected, along with strong communication skills and practical working knowledge of MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel). Prior experience in large distribution organizations and prior roles such as Purchasing Director, Buying Director, or Senior Buyer are appreciated.
