The Provost will be responsible for leading and supporting faculty in enhancing teaching, scholarship, and creative practice, as well as guiding curriculum development that integrates liberal arts with experiential learning and the work program. They will also be tasked with fostering academic innovation while upholding the values of shared governance and inclusive decision-making, and strengthening the institution's commitment to inclusive excellence across all aspects of academic life. Additionally, the Provost will oversee academic programs, the library, the work program, and student academic support services, and serve as a passionate advocate for the liberal arts in the 21st century while acting as second in command to the President.Applicants for the Provost position must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, have a distinguished record as a scholar and educator warranting appointment at the rank of full professor, and possess a deep understanding of the liberal arts with a demonstrated commitment to integrating experiential learning throughout the curriculum. They should also have substantial, progressive leadership and management experience in higher education, with a proven track record of advancing academic excellence and institutional mission. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively lead and support faculty, guide curriculum development, and promote academic innovation while upholding the values of shared governance and inclusive decision-making.
