The client is seeking an accomplished, forward-looking academic leader to serve as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, acting as the university’s chief academic officer and a principal strategic partner to the President. The Provost will provide vision and leadership for the academic enterprise, help shape the institution’s advancement in academic excellence and student success, and support progress across research and regional impact.
The role is expected to balance strategic leadership with strong relationships across the institution. The successful candidate will be visible, accessible, and student-centered; academically credible and research-minded; collaborative, decisive, and strategic; and committed to respecting academic freedom and shared governance. The Provost will also be expected to build trust and strong professional relationships that support continued improvement in academic programs, graduate education, research profile, and alignment with evolving student, workforce, and community needs.
