The position involves close collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and trustees to advance the client’s mission as a liberal arts institution. The client’s academic community emphasizes developing students’ intellectual, personal, and moral potential through logical and critical thinking, creativity, analysis of values, and clear communication, alongside preparation for lives of learning, leadership, and service.
The ideal candidate will have progressive leadership experience in higher education and proven ability to lead in a shared governance environment, with strong knowledge of liberal arts values, academic operations, and strategic planning. A commitment to creating and nurturing inclusion and belonging in an academic setting is required. An earned doctorate or equivalent terminal degree and a record of distinguished scholarship and teaching, requisite for appointment as a tenured full professor, are required.
