the client invites nominations, expressions of interest, and applications for the role of Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. As the University’s senior academic officer, the Provost will collaborate with faculty, staff, students, administrators, and external stakeholders to advance strategic institutional and divisional priorities aligned with a polytechnic identity. the Provost will partner with stakeholders to develop innovative academic initiatives responsive to emerging regional and state needs, model forward-thinking and entrepreneurial action, and promote strong communication and collaboration across the academic division and the broader University.
the Provost will report directly to the Chancellor and lead the University’s academic endeavors in alignment with the polytechnic mission and long-term strategic direction. In collaboration with academic deans and members of the Provost’s leadership team, the role will oversee undergraduate and graduate teaching and learning, academic and co-curricular programming aligned with career placement, research and sponsored programs, and faculty development, promotion, and tenure. the Provost will also support youth programming and alternative credit and non-credit educational pathways, and help drive innovative, future-focused academic initiatives.
the Provost will provide effective leadership to shape academic culture and ensure academic excellence across the division. the role will partner with the Chancellor and her cabinet to advance institutional strategic planning and will collaborate closely with governance groups and academic constituencies, including faculty and academic staff senates, to support ongoing and future planning efforts.
