Nipissing University is looking for a new Provost and Vice-President, Academic to serve as the University's Chief Academic Officer. Reporting to the President and Vice-Chancellor, the Provost will lead the academic enterprise, including teaching, research, academic planning, program development, and graduate studies. They will work closely with Senate and the academic management team to shape academic direction and ensure institutional priorities are met, with a focus on equity, diversity, accessibility, inclusion, Indigenization, reconciliation, and decolonization.The Provost will oversee student support services, prioritize student recruitment and retention, and align academic planning with financial sustainability and governance processes. They will foster a healthy academic workplace and learning environment, building strong relationships with faculty, staff, and academic leaders, and supporting shared governance and positive labour relations. As a senior leader, the Provost will contribute to the overall stewardship of the University, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
