The client is seeking a Project Director to support company growth plans within the primary aluminium industry. The role will align project delivery with commercial objectives and provide comprehensive direction to drive adoption of innovative solutions in a complex, global commodities and energy-related environment.
Key responsibilities include controlling and managing projects through to completion, leading overall project management, and engaging in commercial and technical discussions with prospective clients. The Project Director will also drive business development by leading customer acquisition, integrating technical expertise with sales strategies, and presenting effectively to industry audiences to support growth.
The ideal candidate will have deep technical understanding and experience of aluminium electrolysis, along with strong project management experience. The role requires commercial experience including negotiations and sales, a proactive approach to business development, and the ability to engage in both commercial and technical discussions. Travel to project sites worldwide is expected, and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering is required.
