The Programme Director will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Water Services Delivery Plan (WSDP) and overseeing the transition from council-run services to a new legal entity. This role will involve building strong relationships with the board, Chief Executives, councils, iwi, and central government, as well as delivering a portfolio of interdependent projects on time and within budget. Additionally, the Programme Director will be tasked with establishing governance, legal, and operational frameworks to ensure the organization is ready to go live by 1 July 2027.Reporting to the Project Steering Group, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction, operational readiness, and long-term sustainability of the multi-council water services organization.
