Description

The client is seeking a Program Director to lead workforce development programs focused on providing adults facing barriers to employment with industry-recognized training, supportive services, and direct connections to careers in hospitality. The Program Director ensures participants receive high-quality training and employment opportunities while the organization meets grant outcomes and compliance requirements. The role emphasizes measurable results such as recruitment, enrollment, completion, job placement, and employment retention.

Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day program operations; managing participant recruitment and case management; coordinating program activities such as orientations, graduations, and participant progression; and ensuring strong data quality, participant records, workforce invoicing, and performance reporting. The Program Director will supervise and develop a small team of program staff, collaborate with culinary instructors to monitor student success and improve curriculum, and engage employers and partner organizations to support training-to-employment pathways. The role also involves representing the client with funders, partners, employers, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with five or more years of experience managing workforce development, education, human services, or nonprofit programs. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to coach and develop staff, strong organizational and project management skills, and experience with grant compliance, data management, and outcome reporting. A passion for helping individuals overcome barriers to employment is required, and experience in hospitality or culinary education is strongly preferred, along with a valid driver’s license.
