The client seeks a Program Director to provide strategic leadership, development, and oversight for a national portfolio of regional programs and reading centers, ensuring successful implementation with fidelity and strong student impact. The role guides and manages regional Program Managers through coaching, training, and performance management, working closely with regional Executive Directors to uphold programmatic standards and achieve education goals. The Program Director will support professional development for program teams, including program managers and tutors, to help ensure high-quality individualized instruction and maximize learning outcomes.
Key responsibilities include overseeing regional program implementation across multiple regions and sites to meet enrollment, quality, and impact objectives, with accountability for programmatic regional outcomes across the portfolio. The Program Director will manage program progress and program staff for assigned regions, including Minnesota and Mid-Atlantic sites. Approximately 30% of the role supports broader program projects and initiatives in partnership with the national organization team, as the client reimagines direct service programming.
The Program Director will serve as a resource mobilizer and relationship-building leader, leveraging people, processes, and policy to drive results. The role will include acting as a regional literacy program expert, conducting student data analysis and action planning, and providing feedback and course correction when regions are not meeting programmatic goals. The Program Director will also supervise four Program Managers and work as part of a team of three Program Directors supporting multiple regions, with expectations to conduct regular one-on-one coaching with Program Managers and Executive Directors.
