the client seeks an experienced and collaborative Program Director to lead the Master of Health Services – Physician Assistant Studies Program. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academics, the Program Director will provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the program fulfills its mission, achieves optimal student outcomes, maintains full ARC-PA accreditation, and advances the school’s commitment to preparing exemplary healthcare professionals who serve diverse communities, including rural and underserved populations. This role will engage and inspire faculty, staff, and students as the program enters its next chapter.

the client operates as an academic health center in Sacramento, California, supporting a health-science enterprise with collaboration across health professions and clinical education. The PA program is grounded in interprofessional education, leadership, and health equity, with strong interest from prospective students and a student experience informed by clinical placements and partnerships across the state. Graduates are expected to develop strong foundations in evidence-based practice, prevention, and patient education, along with competencies to serve diverse constituencies in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

The Program Director will champion excellence in curriculum and clinical education, strengthen partnerships across the client and the broader community, and help position the program as a national leader in preparing physician assistants. Key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership to grow and sustain program impact; leading accreditation processes and developing internal systems to support ongoing compliance and excellence; advancing both clinical and didactic education; recruiting, supporting, and inspiring program faculty; diversifying funding mechanisms and expanding resources; and steward impactful collaboration and community engagement internally and externally.
