Description

the client is seeking a passionate, experienced, and inspiring Program Director to lead its Environment program. The role focuses on conserving and sustaining terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems for the benefit of current and future generations, and it operates within an integrated grantmaking strategy across multiple priority domains. The client’s mission is to provide meaningful assistance and support to society, the arts, and the environment through long-term relationships with strategic grantee partners to create measurable, sustainable impact on priority problems.

The Program Director, Environment will lead and manage the Environment domain and collaborate closely with the domain’s core team, including four Program Officers and Program Associate(s), as well as senior program leadership and staff from other program and functional areas. Key responsibilities include building, managing, and evaluating an effective grantmaking domain, working to align strategy and execution across stakeholders, and supporting grantmaking through long-term partner relationships to advance conservation and environment priorities.

The successful candidate will bring a relevant track record of managing highly skilled teams and demonstrate experience and credibility in strategic philanthropy, along with extensive knowledge and experience in community-led conservation and environment programming across domestic and international contexts.
