The client is seeking a Process Industrialisation Engineer to define, optimize, and industrialize production processes in a chemical plant, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, process safety, and the technical and economic viability of new industrializations. The role will coordinate closely with Production, Quality, EHS/PRL, and Maintenance to meet required standards for quality, safety, environmental performance, and cost.
Key responsibilities include leading the industrialization of new products and production processes; defining, validating, and optimizing process parameters and manufacturing standards; creating and maintaining associated technical documentation; and contributing to industrial process start-up, validation, and continuous improvement. The engineer will analyze performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities, drive continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, quality, and productivity, and support improvements across workflow organization, plant layout, and ergonomic considerations, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Collaboration with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, and Development will be central, alongside providing technical support for manufacturing issue resolution and coordinating the implementation of new technologies and relationships with equipment suppliers.
The client expects a strong technical background in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Materials, or similar) or equivalent experience in related functions. Knowledge of process quality and improvement tools and methodologies is expected, including approaches such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA/AMFE, IATF, SPC, and MSA, as well as Lean Manufacturing and process capability analysis. The role also requires intermediate English (with B2 or higher recommended), advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, and approximately 5–10 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, production/process operations, or material transformation roles, with valuable experience in industrial chemical environments and discontinuous processes with some automation. Residence in the Barcelona province or its wider area is expected, along with occasional travel availability, plus analytical thinking, technical rigor, results orientation, and strong communication and teamwork abilities across multidisciplinary departments.
