The ideal candidate will have proven ability to lead a complex civic institution with integrity, relational skill, and operational discipline, in service of a better Atlanta. This role is not for someone seeking a finished institution or a narrow philanthropic platform, but for a leader energized by Atlanta's possibilities and committed to learning from donors, staff, community leaders, and residents.The next President & CEO of our client should be ambitious for Atlanta as a whole, not just the institution, and be a trusted relationship builder experienced in hiring, developing, and empowering staff while deepening ties with donors, civic leaders, board members, and program partners. They should also be a confident fundraiser and donor developer, a strategic executive capable of turning bold aspirations into measurable outcomes, and a financially and operationally sophisticated generalist with a commitment to equity and inclusion. The ideal candidate should embody integrity, humility, authenticity, emotional intelligence, and a bias for clarity, as well as the courage to be bold, the discipline to be practical, and the patience to build trust over time.
