The client is seeking a dynamic President and Chief Executive Officer to help build a healthcare workforce institution for the community. This role will provide strategic, financial, operational, and external leadership to develop an organization focused on investing in the region’s workforce by reducing barriers to full-time employment and durable skills training. The client’s approach integrates employer expectations, industry protocols, and workplace culture into the learning experience, aiming to support students and their families through opportunity, dignity, equity, and lasting economic security.
Reporting to the governing board, the President will lead the organization’s startup and expansion efforts, including launching and growing healthcare workforce programs. Essential responsibilities include establishing organizational infrastructure, systems, policies, and culture; recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performing team; and building partnerships with healthcare employers, community organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, and philanthropic partners. The President will also lead fundraising, grant development, donor cultivation, government relations, and public relations, while overseeing budgets, financial performance, internal controls, and long-term financial sustainability.
In addition, the President will ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, support continuous quality improvement, and use data to evaluate enrollment, completion, credential attainment, placement, retention, financial performance, and organizational impact. Success will be measured by the ability to work closely with the governing board on strategy, financial oversight, risk management, and growth; to advance regulatory and accreditation requirements; to recruit and develop initial leadership and instructional teams; and to establish a sustainable fundraising and revenue strategy while promoting a culture centered on student success, accountability, innovation, equity, and measurable workforce outcomes.
