The client has announced the appointment of Jackie Brenneman as its next President & Chief Executive Officer. She will succeed Jean Prewitt, who is stepping down at the end of the month after 25 years leading the organization.
The client role is centered on organizational leadership across government relations, legal practice, and nonprofit oversight. Brenneman’s background includes executive-level experience in strategic leadership, advocacy on copyright and trade policy, competition and regulatory matters, revenue and partnership development, and event management, including leading industry relief efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, Brenneman has served as a chief executive officer of a theatrical marketplace focused on connecting independent filmmakers with exhibitors, and she has prior experience as a trademark and copyright attorney. The client’s leadership will guide the organization through rapid industry transformation, including consolidation and evolving production and distribution models, while supporting members and building collaboration across the independent creative ecosystem.
