Achieving the Dream (ATD) is a national nonprofit organization that partners with over 300 community colleges in 46 states to help them improve student success. ATD offers expert coaching, programs, and peer learning opportunities to help colleges enhance their leadership, data analysis, and student support strategies. As the organization prepares for a leadership transition with the departure of the current President and CEO, ATD is seeking a strategic and transformative leader to continue growing the network, demonstrating impact, and influencing the national conversation on community colleges and higher education. The President and CEO will work closely with a Board of Directors and oversee a team of seven leadership staff, as well as more than 60 employees and over 100 contracted coaches.
The President and CEO of ATD will be responsible for providing strategic and fiscal stewardship for the organization, working closely with the Board of Directors to lead ATD's mission of improving community college outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in higher education leadership, a track record of transformative leadership, and the ability to advocate for the importance of community colleges in the national dialogue on education. The President and CEO will lead a team of talented staff members and contracted coaches, ensuring that ATD continues to provide valuable support and resources to its network of community colleges.
