the client is seeking its next President & CEO to serve as the organization’s strategic and operational leader. Reporting to the Board, the CEO will advance the mission through a two-generational approach focused on helping children and parents avoid and overcome homelessness. In a highly visible, mission-critical role, the CEO will guide adaptive strategic planning, lead a talented team, and amplify the organization’s voice and influence in anti-poverty work, bringing vision, strategy, humility, operational rigor, and a strong equity orientation.
The CEO will provide visionary, mission-driven leadership and ensure organizational alignment across financial management, philanthropy, organizational culture and talent, and programming. The role includes supporting staff, the Board, partners, and donors in driving impact for families and children. As a primary external fundraiser, the CEO will steward existing relationships and build new ones to grow private philanthropy, working closely with internal leadership to advance major fundraising efforts and strengthen the organization’s donor base and revenue growth.
The CEO will also steward the client’s two-generational model by ensuring delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services that support lasting stability for each family member. Responsibilities include overseeing program innovation, compliance, and community engagement strategies, guiding cross-sector partnerships and coalitions, and supporting evaluation and learning systems to demonstrate impact. The CEO will promote an inclusive, values-driven, high-performance culture that retains top talent and supports frontline staff, and will lead with clarity, transparency, and consistency.
