the client is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney (Personal Injury) to join its team and support a growing caseload of personal injury matters. In this role, you will work closely with a senior attorney on assigned cases, with responsibilities spanning drafting legal documents and conducting in-depth legal research. While many cases may resolve through settlement, the position also requires readiness to advocate in court when necessary.
Qualifications include a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in New York. The role is well-suited for candidates with at least 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are expected.
Ideal candidates will be self-driven and proactive, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing cases toward successful resolution and securing maximum compensation for injured clients. Key responsibilities include drafting motions, pleadings, and other case-related materials; assisting with discovery, including depositions and document review; performing thorough legal research; negotiating settlements; representing clients in court as needed; and conducting initial and follow-up consultations to gather case details and provide counsel. Submitting a resume and an optional writing sample relevant to personal injury litigation is encouraged to help evaluate writing style and case strategy.
