The client is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead clinical nursing operations in a long-term care setting focused on high-quality care and residents’ overall quality of life. The role will support a culture that balances medical needs with residents’ individuality, self-determination, and psychosocial well-being.
Key responsibilities include supervising all nursing staff, developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures, overseeing nursing hiring and ongoing employment, and ensuring adequate staffing and that staff skills remain current. The Director of Nursing will also oversee nursing employee conduct, stay knowledgeable about facility incidents, and assess residents’ health needs to support safe, effective care.
Candidates must hold a current State RN license and have a minimum of five years of experience in long-term care, including at least two years of supervisory experience. Strong supervision and leadership skills are required, and the role is expected to ensure consistent standards of nursing practice across the facility.
