the client is seeking a Business Law Partner to join a successful, multi-disciplinary team. The role will support institutional clients with a broad range of business and corporate legal matters and provide support to a growing financial services group. This opportunity involves taking a lead role within a thriving practice supported by strong internal resources.
Key responsibilities include managing a broad and complex business law practice, covering matters such as business formation, organizational structures and reorganization, and joint ventures and strategic alliances. The role will also expand and support business and client development opportunities, and provide mentorship and support to the office’s growing financial services group. A portable practice, in whole or in part, is preferred.
The position calls for an LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent) and good standing with a Canadian Law Society. Candidates should have 8+ years of financial services experience, along with strong practice management skills, effective commercial acumen, and a client service-oriented approach.
