the client is seeking a Banking/Real Estate Partner to join a successful multi-disciplinary legal team in Edmonton. This role will support institutional clients with a broad range of banking, real estate, and leasing matters, while helping to facilitate and enhance a growing financial services practice within the firm.
Key responsibilities include managing a broad and complex financial services and commercial real estate practice, covering areas such as lending, financing, and leasing; expanding and supporting business and client development opportunities; and providing mentorship and support to the office’s growing financial services group. A full or partial portable practice is preferred, and the role is expected to contribute to the team’s continued success.
Candidates should hold an LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent) and be in good standing with a Canadian Law Society. The position expects 8+ years of financial services experience, along with strong practice management skills, effective commercial judgment, and a client-focused service orientation.
