The client is seeking an Outreach & Events Coordinator for a volunteer position with The Archive of Us project. The client, Built For Us PGH, aims to create a space for LGBTQ+ individuals to thrive by unlearning, reconnecting, and reclaiming their sense of belonging. The Archive of Us is a storytelling initiative that documents the lives and experiences of LGBTQ+ people in Pittsburgh through interviews and photography, with the goal of eventually creating a published book and digital collection.
The Outreach & Events Coordinator will be responsible for managing the scheduling and communication logistics of the project. This includes reaching out to interview participants, coordinating availability with the photographer and interviewers, and ensuring that everyone is prepared for their scheduled sessions. The ideal candidate will have experience in outreach, scheduling, communications, or events, as well as strong organization, time management, and written communication skills. They must be based in Pittsburgh and available for in-person meetings and community events, with a minimum availability of 5-7 hours per week.
