the client is seeking committed Ordinary Members to strengthen its Board of Directors/Management Committee. These voluntary governance roles are designed for professionals who want to contribute strategic oversight and general expertise to support effective organizational leadership.
Ideal candidates come from any sector and bring transferable skills that support governance and board-level decision-making. The client is particularly interested in applicants with a strong interest in addiction recovery, social inclusion, community welfare, or adult education, and who can contribute constructively to discussions and decision-making.
Experience in governance, strategy, or board-level responsibilities is especially valuable, along with capabilities related to finance, budgeting, and fundraising; HR and people management, including employment programme support; partnerships, funding, and stakeholder engagement; and monitoring and evaluation, quality assurance, or risk management. Lived experience or a strong understanding of recovery and social justice, including awareness of inner-city challenges, is welcomed but not required.
