The client is seeking a hands-on operations leader to drive an immediate, high-impact turnaround with broad business visibility. This role will lead the operational and industrial restructuring across production, supply chain, organizational coordination, and commercial alignment, requiring fast decision-making and an on-the-ground presence. The assignment is initially temporary, with a potential transition into a permanent executive role upon completion of the turnaround plan.
Key responsibilities include analyzing and redesigning the production footprint across Italy and international locations, optimizing industrial processes and the supply chain, and realigning the fixed cost base to current volumes. The role will define and implement operational KPIs and control systems, lead organizational restructuring and workforce reductions, and support strategic evaluations related to the industrial footprint. Additionally, the position will review and strengthen organizational structure, introduce managerial models in less structured environments, and clarify accountability, delegation levels, and decision-making processes.
The role will provide commercial operational oversight by coordinating and refocusing the sales organization, setting priorities across markets, customers, and channels, and integrating wholesale, retail, and e-commerce models while ensuring alignment with product and merchandising functions. The individual will manage high-pressure stakeholder engagement as a primary interface with ownership and advisors and deliver structured reporting on turnaround progress. The successful applicant will have proven experience in industrial turnarounds and restructuring, including leadership roles such as Operations Director or Plant Director, strong track record in organizational restructuring, cost reduction, workforce optimization, and industrial footprint redesign, and a pragmatic, execution-driven leadership style; a technical background is preferred.
