The client is seeking a senior leadership candidate for a product development and Vietnam-based operations role within a global children’s entertainment and toy business. This position will lead the Vietnam operation by integrating multiple functions into a single high-performing business unit and providing overall leadership across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and sourcing.
Key responsibilities include driving operational excellence to ensure manufacturing capabilities meet cost, quality, responsiveness, and customer expectations. The role will manage supplier sourcing, development, and performance, with a strong emphasis on product and supplier quality, and will lead continuous cost improvement, product cost control, and margin optimization across the operation.
The successful applicant will develop and manage operational budgets, KPIs, and performance targets aligned to the wider Asia strategy, and will build, coach, and develop a leadership team with succession planning and talent development. The candidate should be able to partner closely with regional and global stakeholders across product development, engineering, operations, HR, finance, and IT, act as a senior business representative in Vietnam with engagement across government and external stakeholders, and ensure high standards of compliance, governance, integrity, and corporate policy.
