The client is seeking to appoint a board director with legal experience to serve on a voluntary, pro bono basis. The role is that of an ordinary non-executive director, with responsibility for independent fiduciary oversight. The director will help ensure the client delivers on its agreed strategy, maintains adequate resources, and is managed soundly within an appropriate approach to risk.
The board director will support strong, compliant governance by contributing to a robust governance framework and ensuring the client operates effectively and responsibly. The position is expected to provide leadership at board level, offering independent judgement and challenge to help strengthen decision-making, oversight, and accountability.
In addition, the director will be part of a governing structure that oversees services supporting children and adults with disabilities, including specialized and education-related initiatives. Candidates are expected to bring legal experience relevant to governance and organisational oversight, with the ability to work collaboratively with other board members and support a person-centred, values-driven approach to oversight.
