Description

The Executive Director of Corporate Governance and Strategy plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and delivery of children's services for the client, focused on improving the lives of children and young people across the city and district.

The client is driven by a clear mission, requiring dedication and resilience from the executive leadership team and its supporting board. With a strong sense of purpose, the team aims to deliver the best outcomes for children, young people, and families, ensuring the clients promise becomes reality.

The role of the Executive Director is central to the clients efforts, supporting leadership colleagues, the board, and service providers in achieving their strategic goals.

In this vital leadership position, the Executive Director will manage relationships with key stakeholders, including the Council, and lead core enabling functions such as policy, strategy and business planning, ICT strategy and information governance, and risk management, among others.

The position calls for driving innovation, championing transparency, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement within the clients organization. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational leadership skills, particularly in partnership and stakeholder management, strategy, and policy.

While legal experience is not mandatory, acting as Company Secretary, the Executive Director will ensure effective governance and serve as a key liaison with external partners.

Candidates must demonstrate an ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate effectively, sharing the clients ambition for children, young people, and families.
