The individual will be responsible for drafting policies, handling regulatory filings, and fostering a compliance-focused environment through staff training and support.
Applicants must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited US institution. While an MBA is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates should possess strong legal knowledge in CMBS and real estate lending, alongside experience in compliance and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are crucial. Additionally, experience in managing outside counsel and some people management experience will be beneficial for candidates aiming to develop a small in-house legal function.
