The client is seeking a Mid-Atlantic Director to lead regional community engagement and fundraising efforts. In this role, you will oversee local directors across the region and manage community engagement activities, with a significant focus on driving major gifts. You will also support the cultivation and recruitment of committee members for the MD and PA executive committees, helping strengthen regional leadership and community participation.
Primary responsibilities include building and growing major gifts from donors making contributions at the major level, cultivating relationships with existing supporters, and inspiring new community members to become significant financial supporters. You will develop and execute a strategic plan to increase engagement and revenue through donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, while identifying, cultivating, and soliciting new donors to expand the supporter base. The role also involves meeting quarterly and annual fundraising goals, developing lay leadership, representing The client at community events and forums, and maintaining accurate moves management records in a CRM system.
This remote position reports to the National Fundraising & Engagement Director and is expected to be based in Pennsylvania or Maryland. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, fundraising, or a related field with a proven record of achieving and exceeding goals. Additional qualifications include the ability to adapt quickly, work independently while prioritizing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment, strong problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong teamwork. Preference is given to a bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience, along with deep ties to the PA and MD Jewish communities and schools and a strong commitment to Jewish education and advocacy.
