the client is seeking an experienced professional to take a direct role in challenging mid-market M&A transactions. The position combines deal execution with team responsibility and focuses on operating support throughout the transaction lifecycle, from analysis and process management to driving successful signing.
Key responsibilities include the independent management and implementation of national and international M&A transactions, as well as the professional and operational leadership of an execution team in collaboration with the managing directors. This involves leading complex sell-side and buy-side processes, overseeing due diligence activities and coordinating with investors, banks, legal advisors, and other stakeholders, and managing management and investor processes through to completion. The role also includes creating and reviewing financial models, company valuations, and marketing materials, ensuring high quality standards across ongoing projects, and contributing to the execution business development together with the managing directors.
Successful candidates will have several years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, transaction services, or investment banking, including proven experience in independently handling complex transactions. They should have strong financial modeling and valuation skills, an entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach, and ideally initial experience in leading or developing teams. The role requires a structured, high-ownership working style and strong communication skills, along with excellent German and English proficiency.
