The client is seeking to appoint the inaugural Professor of Carbonomics, a world-first academic role at the intersection of academia, industry, and sustainability. The position will play a critical part in advancing cutting-edge research focused on sustainable business, carbon economics, and lean and sustainable value chains, supporting transition strategies that are financially viable, scalable, and societally impactful. The role will also contribute to the development of the Institute of Carbonomics and help strengthen the client’s international standing as a research and innovation hub in carbon economics and sustainable value chains.
The successful candidate will be expected to build and lead research activity aligned with sustainable business and carbon-related economics, and to support cross-sector industry collaborations. They will help drive the creation and growth of the Institute of Carbonomics, contributing to research innovation and partnership-focused work that connects academia with real-world industry and sustainability challenges.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate an internationally recognized track record as a researcher in sustainable business, lean supply chains, or a closely aligned field, including experience working with organizations across sectors. They should also show a record of success in securing competitive research funding and publishing research in leading international journals, and be able to contribute effectively to a collaborative, research-driven academic environment.
