The client is seeking a Marketing Director to lead brand and growth initiatives for a fast-growing wall art and home décor business. The role will support a strategic shift toward positioning the company as a premium luxury brand and global leader in high-end, unique wall art, emphasizing elevated art finishes and long-lasting customer relationships. The Marketing Director will be expected to translate consumer insights into innovative, engaging strategies that strengthen brand equity and disruptive brand positioning.
Key responsibilities include developing a sustainable marketing strategy for direct-to-consumer efforts and creating a marketing calendar to maximize returns while enhancing brand image. The role will involve analyzing consumer behavior to define customer personas, researching market trends and competitors, and designing strategies to engage different customer types. The Marketing Director will also oversee campaign effectiveness reporting to the executive team, manage end-to-end marketing task execution, coordinate internal teams and external agencies or contractors, and ensure messaging aligns with brand and company values.
The Marketing Director will own and manage online marketing solutions such as social media integration, search engine optimization, and performance monitoring through analytics to improve key performance metrics. This includes running constant, iterative funnel tests, managing marketing budget allocation to deliver positive ROI, and proposing cost-reduction or ROI-boosting strategies. The role requires prior experience as a Marketing Director or VP of Marketing (preferably in home goods and ecommerce), strong leadership skills to lead and develop teams of up to about 30 people, an analytical mindset with proficiency in tools such as spreadsheets and analytics platforms, and the ability to adapt quickly, plan, prioritize, and coordinate effectively in an independently driven manner.
