Description

The client is seeking a Market President for the Oklahoma City, OK area. This role will make and service a variety of commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, and SBA loans, while assisting senior officers with larger and more complex lending matters and providing customer service as required. The position is accountable for all aspects of the market’s commercial lending performance and participates in local strategic planning and development.

Key responsibilities include developing and managing commercial loan accounts to meet lending requirements while maximizing profitability at minimum risk; soliciting commercial clients and generating new business through calls, referrals, and cross-selling; obtaining and maintaining COIs; and attending networking events within the assigned geographic area. The Market President will also contribute to deposit growth by promoting additional banking products, collect and analyze information to assess customer creditworthiness and the merits of existing loans, and develop and execute marketing plans and selling strategies for the commercial lending team.

The role involves managing, coaching, and developing Relationship Managers to achieve assigned goals, reviewing and analyzing title reports or surveys to identify issues and risks, and evaluating applicants’ financial status, credit, and property information to determine loan feasibility or route items to a credit analyst for verification and recommendations. Responsibilities also include meeting with applicants, guiding loans through approval and closing, explaining and promoting or referring related bank, insurance, and trust products and services, and representing the bank through professional and civic involvement. Qualifications include a preferred bachelor’s degree in a related field, typically seven or more years of direct lending or credit support experience focused on business relationships, proven ability to generate CRE and C&I loans, and preferred formal credit training or underwriting knowledge, along with experience analyzing financial statements and familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing.
