Description

The client is seeking a Senior Vice President and Market President to lead a new, full-service acute care hospital under construction in Metro Augusta, Georgia. This senior executive will serve as the visible leader and primary representative for the hospital and the health system across the facility’s service area and throughout the state, partnering internally and externally to advance the organization’s reputation as a premier, patient-centered provider. The role is responsible for defining and leading the future vision for the hospital and ensuring the organization operates with maximum efficiency and quality.

The hospital is planned as a six-story, full-service acute care facility with approximately 100 beds, an emergency department planned to function as a Level II trauma center, and operating and interventional suites to support comprehensive services. An adjacent multi-story medical office building will support primary care, women’s health, and other specialties. The Market President will lead in a competitive environment to strengthen care and create opportunities for the region, and will be expected to build effective relationships that support service growth, cost-effective delivery of high-quality patient care, and sustained satisfaction for both patients and employees.

Key qualifications include a graduate degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, along with 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare environment, with exposure to complex, matrix-style operating structures and preferred experience within multi-hospital systems. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated program development experience and familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma approaches, strong physician relationship skills to ensure physician involvement in systems supporting service and cost-effective care, and proven leadership capabilities in developing engaged teams, managing performance, and achieving targeted goals. The role also calls for exceptional collaboration, communication, and community involvement, including the ability to represent the organization in formal and informal settings and to build effective board relationships.
