the client has represented the professional interests of more than 800 artistic and technical film professionals across Switzerland for 50 years. As the largest trade union for employees in the audiovisual industry, we advocate for fair working conditions and actively engage in film and cultural policy. As part of a succession plan, we are seeking an engaged and strong leader as Executive Director (80%).
Your tasks include operational and strategic leadership of the offices in Zurich and Geneva, close collaboration with the President and the Board on association matters and film policy issues, representing the associations interests with political institutions, industry partners, and organizations, as well as at industry events such as film festivals and lectures at film schools, advising members on labor law and social security issues, planning and organizing association events, delegate and general assemblies, and activities at Swiss film festivals together with your team, coordinating and supporting industry projects and meetings of the Joint Commission, organizing and conducting film set visits across Switzerland, and preparing annual reports, budgets, accounting oversight, and financial statements, including audits.
Interest in association governance and film policy, and identification with the goals of the association, proven knowledge of the working conditions of freelance employees in the audiovisual sector, as well as labor and social security law (required), experience in project management and strong negotiation skills, very good German and French, both written and spoken, independent, structured, and service-oriented working style, confident presence and enthusiasm for professionally representing the association.
