The client seeks a Managing Director to lead its growing Early Childhood (EC) practice, providing strategic advisory services for policy and systems change initiatives. Responsibilities include supporting state and local governments, non-profits, and other impact-focused organizations working to improve conditions for families with young children, with an emphasis on early childhood education and care.
As the most senior client-serving leader, the Managing Director is responsible for excellence in client delivery, advancing the client’s overall strategy and growth, and cultivating senior talent within the EC team in alignment with the organization’s core values. This role sets the EC team’s vision and strategy connected to the client’s broader vision, executes the strategy, and manages the sector’s performance, including financial outcomes. The Managing Director also acts as a trusted thought partner in business development and supports revenue generation efforts with client Partners.
To be successful, the Managing Director will be a recognized leader with strong relationships and extensive knowledge of federal/state/local EC context, including relevant policies, programs, and systems. The role calls for expertise in governance, funding, and quality systems, along with leadership capabilities that enable the EC team to thrive and deliver high-quality outcomes.
