Manage and lead the firmwide Financial Institutions (FI) credit strategy with senior-level authority within the client. This role operates at the highest level of credit governance, providing independent judgement across a broad FI portfolio and helping shape the future direction of the FI credit platform.
Working alongside FI Credit sector leadership, you will provide horizontal sanctioning authority to ensure consistency, discipline, and robust decision-making across FI sectors. Responsibilities include acting as a senior sanctioner across all FI sectors on new transactions, renewals and amendments, and complex restructurings; leading complex credit discussions spanning lending, structured finance, derivatives and traded products; and supporting sustainable growth through independent judgement and constructive challenge.
You will also support the development and execution of portfolio strategy and risk appetite by leading portfolio reviews, thematic deep dives, and emerging risk assessments, while driving consistency in underwriting standards across FI sectors. In addition, you will contribute to evolving the FI Credit operating model and scalable credit frameworks and policies, represent FI Credit in senior governance forums and committees, engage with regulators and internal control functions, and coach and mentor senior and emerging credit professionals while fostering a culture of constructive challenge, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
