Description

the client is seeking a managing director to lead its nicotine business end to end. the role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement, with full ownership of commercial development, product strategy, operational coordination, and cross-functional execution. the mandate is to strengthen the current business while deepening customer engagement, broadening product capabilities, and positioning the platform for future expansion and a more resilient, scalable supply chain.

key responsibilities include driving growth, profitability, execution, and long-term strategic direction; managing customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities in next-generation nicotine applications; and overseeing the full value chain, including sourcing, coordination with contract manufacturing partners, packaging, inventory planning, and supply continuity. the managing director will partner with technical and manufacturing teams to support high-purity nicotine production and develop customized solutions, and will lead product development initiatives aligned with evolving customer requirements and market trends.

the successful candidate will ensure alignment with applicable quality, compliance, and regulatory expectations, and will collaborate closely with internal functions such as accounting, legal, logistics, operations, and commercial leadership to support execution. qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as chemical engineering, chemistry, food science, biology, engineering, or another related discipline, with an advanced business qualification viewed as advantageous. strong leadership experience in nicotine or adjacent regulated ingredient environments is preferred, alongside demonstrated success in both business development and product development, and the maturity to operate independently in a lean structure while balancing strategic planning with day-to-day coordination.
