The client is seeking a Managing Director for an onsite, direct-hire role in Miami, Florida. This senior leadership position will establish and lead a strategic vision for affordable housing and voucher-program initiatives, aligning emerging opportunities with organizational goals and supporting early-stage planning for future housing efforts.
Responsibilities include guiding the development of new programs, partnerships, and operating models to expand housing access and improve resident outcomes. The Managing Director will provide oversight for Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) initiatives, project-based vouchers, and related rental assistance programs, advancing strategies to improve voucher utilization, landlord participation, and participant experience, while strengthening program compliance, quality, and performance through data-informed decision-making.
The role will also champion resident-centered program design and build high-level relationships with public housing authorities, government agencies, nonprofit partners, developers, and community stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of progressively responsible supervisory experience, including four years in the administration of public or private housing and/or assisted housing programs, along with senior-level leadership experience in affordable housing or related systems. Key qualifications include deep knowledge of voucher operations and regulatory frameworks, experience navigating complex funding and compliance environments, the ability to lead through ambiguity, strong strategic communication and relationship-building skills, and a clear commitment to equity and community-driven solutions, with an expectation to obtain and maintain program-related certifications as required.
