The client seeks a Managing Director to establish and lead a strategic vision for affordable housing and voucher-program initiatives. The role will guide development of new programs, partnerships, and operational models to expand housing access and improve resident outcomes, including oversight of early-stage planning, resource alignment, and organizational readiness for future initiatives.
The Managing Director will provide senior-level leadership for Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) initiatives, project-based vouchers, and related rental assistance programs. The candidate will represent the client in regional and national housing discussions, build high-level relationships across public housing authorities and government and community partners, and cultivate cross-sector collaborations that expand resources and drive systems-level change. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and progressively responsible supervisory experience, along with demonstrated senior leadership in affordable housing or related systems; deep knowledge of voucher programs and regulatory frameworks; experience navigating complex compliance and funding environments; strong strategic thinking and relationship-building skills; demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and drive organizational growth; and a commitment to equity and resident voice.
