The client is seeking a commercially strong and inspiring Managing Director to lead and further develop its business in Norway. Based in the Hanøytangen/Askøy area, the role carries overall responsibility for the Norwegian organization with a clear mandate to drive strategic growth, strengthen customer relationships, ensure operational delivery, and build a strong, motivated organization. This is a central leadership position that combines business acumen, strategic understanding, and clear leadership, with representation of the organization in the Norwegian market and close collaboration with the group organization in Denmark.
Key responsibilities include leading and developing the organization’s activities in Norway in line with strategy and business goals, strengthening and further developing the customer portfolio, and ensuring strong operational and financial performance with full P&L ownership. The Managing Director is also expected to be a driving force and role model for adherence to HSEQ standards across all activities, while ensuring effective administrative processes and compliance with relevant internal and external requirements. In addition, the role supports cross-group collaboration and maintains close dialogue with group leadership.
The client is looking for an experienced, inspiring leader with strong industry understanding within oil & gas and/or the maritime industry, along with a clear commercial orientation. Candidates are expected to have documented leadership experience from oil & gas and/or the maritime sector, and the ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on daily leadership of activities and operations. Relevant experience may include insight into the maritime and/or oil & gas value chain and key stakeholders, along with documented results from leading sales and/or business development, strong business understanding with operational insight, effective communication skills, and solid integrity and trustworthy behavior.
