Description

the client is seeking a corporate banking professional to develop and execute strategies that attract new clients and strengthen existing relationships. The role focuses on originating new business opportunities with targeted U.S.-based multinational corporations and growing a referral network supported by influencers. You will be expected to meet and exceed assigned exposure and profitability targets while operating within defined risk parameters, and to collaborate across account and product teams to enhance client engagement and increase share of wallet.

You will proactively manage a client portfolio by understanding client objectives, business direction, and potential growth opportunities. Responsibilities include negotiating pricing, terms, covenants, and guarantees for new and existing clients, with the ability to decline transactions that do not meet acceptable risk/return criteria while preserving client relationships. The role also involves preparing and leading negotiations on bilateral legal documentation, obtaining internal legal approval, reviewing syndicated documentation for alignment with approved credit terms, and structuring and documenting credit transactions based on client profile evaluation and credit risk assessment.

The successful applicant will have 15+ years of experience in a comparable corporate banking role, with a demonstrated record of sourcing, winning, and closing new opportunities through proactive prospecting. You should bring strong leadership capabilities, effective negotiation skills, and the ability to interpret financial statements, assess market trends, and anticipate regulatory changes to identify growth opportunities. You will oversee credit analysts’ preparation of credit applications and portfolio monitoring and reporting, supervise onboarding and periodic KYC reviews managed by assistants, coordinate business development and reporting with internal stakeholders, ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, and travel as needed for client meetings and presentations.
