Manage the next stage of growth for the client as it scales a proven mission-driven model designed to activate people with wealth in support of economic justice and closing the racial wealth gap. The client delivers programs that organize, educate, and activate participants through relational, trust-building cohorts and ongoing community engagement, and it has established programming and alumni-driven momentum to support continued expansion.
The Managing Director will be an architect of expansion and a trusted thought partner to the Executive Director, stewarding organizational culture and integrating leadership across programs, external relations, and operations. Responsibilities include building internal team structure, managing staff and independent contributors across communications/external relations, operations, and finance, and scaling systems and processes so that the Executive Director can focus more on external stakeholders, fundraising, and partnerships.
This growth role is expected to provide decision-making authority for internal team management, day-to-day operations, and budget execution within Board-approved parameters. The Managing Director will hire, onboard, and directly supervise Directors for External Relations/Advancement, Programs, and Operations & Finance, coordinate budget management with fiduciary support from the fiscal sponsor, and engage with external partners and funders to strengthen visibility and understanding within the broader ecosystem.
