The Manager of Public Relations & Strategic Communications will report to the Director and play a crucial role in executing our client's communications strategy to enhance visibility across Canada. Initially, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on expanded responsibilities while supporting the Director during maternity leave. Upon the Director's return, the Manager will continue in a permanent role as a key member of the communications team, working closely to advance advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and communications priorities. Responsibilities include developing content, cultivating media relationships, coordinating campaigns, and supporting public affairs initiatives to reinforce our client's leadership in Canada's innovation economy. The Manager will translate complex insights into engaging content for media, stakeholders, members, and the public.Working closely with the Director, CEO, internal stakeholders, and external partners, the Manager will support earned media initiatives, prepare communications materials for senior leaders, and ensure messaging consistency across all channels. This role will contribute to communications surrounding policy initiatives, research releases, conferences, and events while supporting executive communications, digital content, media relations, and stakeholder engagement. The Manager will collaborate with external agencies, monitor communications performance, and identify opportunities to enhance our client's profile and extend the reach of its programs and initiatives.
