Description

We are seeking a Manager of Finance (VP) to support a client’s financial leadership team. This role develops financial forecasts and budget variance, profitability, and other monthly and quarterly financial management reports for management, ALCO, and the Board of Directors, helping inform decision-making and strategic planning.

The Manager of Finance (VP) will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and complex financial systems, including annual and long-term operating and capital expenditure budget development. Responsibilities also include reviewing financial statements for variances and trends; conducting economic and financial research using environmental and business data; collaborating with lines of business to understand reporting needs; identifying and analyzing variance drivers with recommendations for corrective action; and monitoring data integrity in financial systems to ensure accurate data mapping, setup, and verified updates that prevent reporting errors.

The successful candidate will supervise and guide direct reports, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance appraisals, merit reviews, goal setting, coaching, and related personnel actions, while ensuring system and reporting processes have appropriate backups; and will assume related duties as required. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with advanced degrees or professional designations/certifications desirable, along with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience, demonstrated leadership and communication skills, proficiency with financial systems and databases, and three or more years of direct supervisory experience in an advanced finance or accounting position in financial services (typically five to eight years).
